Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) / Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) uses specially designed, oxygen-permeable lenses that gently reshape the cornea during sleep. Lenses come out in the morning, and the day is yours. It has been approved by the FDA for nighttime corneal refractive therapy, and complete vision correction occurs within one to two weeks.
It may help stabilize your prescription, which makes it a good option for younger patients who are busy with school and sports but too young for LASIK, and for anyone who wants freedom from daytime lenses. The treatment is reversible by simply not wearing the lenses.

Dr. Cui strongly cares for his patients and strives to provide the best eye care possible for each individual. Growing up and living in Massachusetts for most of his life, he attended Boston University for his undergraduate degree in Biology, then the Illinois College of Optometry, where he earned his doctorate.
His clinical training includes an ocular disease-focused program at a Veterans Affairs hospital specializing in glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy treatment, and private practice clinics where he treated visual disorders with specialty contact lenses — Ortho-K lenses for myopia control, scleral lenses for keratoconus, and GP lenses. He also completed rotations at the Illinois Eye Institute in ocular disease, contact lenses and pediatrics.
